Ok, ok. I know I’m a couple of days late, but when your driving there isn’t much time for internet hunting. Regardless, here we are.

Since I cannot post every day, I’ll have to just give some quick overviews. Day one went really well. After leaving Calgary we did a quick tour of Banff, checked out the lower falls at Johnston Canyon, and had a nice look at Lake Louise. The only down note for day one is… with the flying and time change, Kelly has gone and made herself sick. It’s not overly bad though, just the sniffles and a man voice. Ha Ha. Day two also proved to be quite the wildlife spotting day. By the end of the day we had seen chipmunks, deer, elk, horned sheep, a mountain goat, a black bear, ducks, and a moose.

Anywho, day one ended in Vernon, BC. Day two started a couple of times. Once when a train went by our campsite (never fails) and a second time when some friendly ducks stopped by and decided to argue. We didn’t mind though, as it was after 9am. A late start by our standards.

Day two consisted mostly of driving. We went through Kelowna and before we knew it, Vancouver was in our sights. We stopped in Abottsford for a quick internet search so I could grab my friend Dijita’s phone number, but unfortunately, we could not get a hold of her. Finally Vancouver hit, and it was obvious, as it was bumper to bumper traffic. With grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner, we ended up spending the night at a friend of Kelly’s. Nothing like roughing it in an apartment. Thanks Corey, much appreciated.

So it’s 6:40am on the start of day three. It’s a brief update, but if I wrote everything, I’d be here longer than planned. Everything is going very well, everyone is really enjoying themselves, and it appears that Kelly’s voice is coming back. Oh and, the Jeep is holding up just fine. Next stop, Seattle.

p.s. I don’t have time to set photos up like I had planned… but clicking on the photos above will take you to our Flickr account.
