Today we woke up late, as usual, and packed up our stuff. We couldn’t wait to leave the campsite Nazis behind. They were way too serious about their job, always checking and double-checking everything and everyone. We headed on down the coast through Los Angeles and passed the many beaches that line the coast. Huntington Beach, Sunset Beach, Seal Beach, Venice Beach, Dog Beach, and Newport Beach. Nothing much was done today besides driving. We saw a billboard that swaid nothing but “my boogers itch”. Anyone know what that is an ad for? Also, the car of choice in Newport Beach was easily Lotus and Maserati.

We entered into San Diego and scooped up a campsite the San Diego Metro KOA. Not cheap, but better than nothing I suppose. Since we checked in early, we headed on back downtown. After a slight detour, we parked and then shopped for an hour. The people of San Diego appear to be slightly odd, so maybe all the normal people were working or simply don’t come out during the week.

Tomorrow we’ll be checking out the ever popular San Diego Zoo, then it’s due East from there. We still have the spa planned for later and some ice cream for later (which is probably melted by now).
