The Vicarious Crew is a group of three friends who decided that their lives needed a change. They decided that they needed to do something exciting, adventurous, and just plain fun. Something more than a weekend vacation or a five-day trip to some exotic beach in the deep south or overseas. Instead, what they’ve chosen to do is experience the land around them by taking… a roadtrip.

Almost everyone has had the opportunity to go on a road trip at some point in their lives. For those who haven’t, surely you have had at least a thought about wanting to go on one. Driving with the open road ahead of you, a mystery around every new corner, experiencing adventures only thought of in your mind, being with friends to share the memories with, and the sun gleaming down giving you “trucker’s arm”.

Everyone needs a break from work and the routines of everyday life, but being able to just drop what you’re doing and go isn’t easy for a lot of people. People have committments, families, jobs, and other elements of life that require them to stick around.

Well, don’t worry, because Ian Harding, Chris Bonutti, and Kelly Nelson decided that it was time to break out of their routines. With nothing to hold either of them back, they are ready to move forward. The Crew below will embark on a trip that will take them around the United States and some of Canada and they encourage you, the visitors, to come to this site daily as they will be acting as your eyes and ears. They’ll post photos, stories, and give their opinion on different things they encounter along the trip. The goal is for you, the locked up viewer, to live “vicariously” through them and their experiences.
